Japanese Study tip: Hiragana&Katakana APP

Are you struggled with Hiragana and Katakana?

Here is new free app from Japan Foundation!

Hiragana and Katakana is the Japanese writing system.

Japanese people read and write mixture of Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji.

For us, Hiragana and Kanji writing is standard style of the Japanese writing so it is easier to recognise.

Katakana is used for describing words from overseas, emphasis, and names in academic way.

So, when you learn Japanese, it is essential to be able to read and write Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji.

I know you don’t like studying Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji….

Usual conversation with a student.

Student: I don’t wanna study Hiragana and Katakana.

Me: Why?

Student: Too many.

Me: How about in fun way.

Student: Yes. But I don’t have time.

Me: Use app and practice in a train.

Student: Uh… OK.

You might need to ANYWAY!!!

In this app, you can learn Hiragana and Katakana with visual images and English sound.

For example, Katakana ム(mu) is described in a cow picture because cows say ‘moo moo’ in English.

Another feature is that you can practice with audio sound.

So if you repeat after the sound, you need to use all of your language skills in this app!!

ウ~!(Woo~!)

They also have Kanji version:)
