Beginner1

Time: 6:00am-8:00pm
Day: Tuesday
Starting date: 13th March

Beginner1 is for completely beginner.
We use the indirect method (teaching Japanese in English) because students will be more confident to understand what the teacher says and participate in class. Each class is designed along with the textbook, Japanese for Busy People, and the students will be able to learn the grammar structures through a variety of activities.

This course aims to:
– Learn basic Japanese.
– Understand Japanese writing systems and culture throughout useful expressions.
– Be able to do self-introduction, talk about daily routine and activities.

Upper-Beginner1

Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Day: Monday
Starting date: 12th March

After studying basic Japanese, you will think you would like to learn Japanese more to communicate in Japanese so that you will understand Japanese culture more and love Japan more! Upper-Beginner1 is for you as this course is for people who has already started to learn Japanese and applicants are expected to have finished Te-form and Nai-form to join this course. Students will learn complicated but useful grammar structures and expressions so that they can express more detailed schedule, opinion, preference, and experience.

This course aims to:
– Be able to describe preference and talk about own schedule in detail.
– Be able to make advice according to one’s experiences.
– Develop knowledge of Japanese culture.

Intermediate1

Time: 10:00am-12:00pm
Day: Saturday
Starting date: 17th March

Intermediate1 is for people who have finished Japanese for Busy People III/みんなの日本語L50/Genki L23 or HSC Japanese Continuers/Extension(some grammar preview required). Students will learn more complicated grammar structures and synonyms based on what they have learnt at Beginner/Upper-Beginner/Pre-Intermediate. Some authentic materials such as videos with native Japanese will be introduced at this stage to be familiar with native Japanese talk.

This course aims to:
– Become fluent at different language style.
– Develop language skills through expressive activities.
– Understand Japanese society and culture in particular topics.

Advanced3

Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm
Day: Wednesday
Starting date: 21 March

Advanced course is for people who have studied Japanese for a certain duration. Students will develop Japanese through a variety of topics such as society, environmental issue, family, etc. More discussions are conducted and students will explore information in Japanese like they do in their language. Japanese Business manner and language are introduced for students who are willing to work in Japan or with Japanese people.

This course aims to:
– Be able to talk and discuss about current affairs in Japan through realistic materials such as newspaper and videos.
– Understand social issues and cultural differences in detail and add opinions and thoughts on it.
– Communicate with Japanese people at native level.
