Japanese Chat Night Event Report

Japanese Chat Night on 12th Mar

We held a Japanese Chat Night at BBIC on 12th March, and it was a great success! More than 30 people, including native Japanese speakers, joined us, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. Participants included Japanese learners, those looking for opportunities to speak Japanese, and people interested in Japanese culture. Everyone had a wonderful time connecting with others and practicing their language skills in a fun and supportive environment.

This time, we didn’t have a specific theme—just free conversation! Some participants introduced themselves and shared their experiences with learning Japanese, while others talked about their favorite Japanese food, travel experiences, and cultural differences. It was amazing to see people of all levels, from beginners to advanced speakers, enjoying conversations in Japanese.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us! We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and participation. We hope this event provided you with a valuable opportunity to use Japanese in a real setting and meet new friends along the way.

We will share some photos as soon as they are available, so stay tuned! We look forward to seeing you at our next event.

Previous Event, Shodo (Calligraphy) Workshop

Last time, in December, we held a “Shodo (Calligraphy) Workshop.” Many people who love Japan joined us, and everyone had a great time enjoying calligraphy.

Here are some comments from participants:

1: The challenge of calligraphy was so much fun

2: It was exciting to meet others who share an interest in Japan, and we all had a great time exchanging stories and experiences

3: Trying to write kanji with a Fude(brush) and ink was a fun experience, even if it was a little tricky at first!

4: I had a blast writing new kanji characters, and each one felt like a small achievement

5: Trying to write with a brush again after many years brought back fond memories and was a truly enjoyable experience.
