↑ Special greeting in Japanese for the New Year

How was your Christmas and New Year holiday?

As I mentioned in the previous blog, we visit to shrines to wish for the year.

We call it はつもうで(Hatsumoode).

We pray for health, good luck, study, family… etc

We feel very clear and refreshing after the visit.

What I prayed this year?

SECRET!!

We should not tell what we wish to other people.

There are also a lot of stools like Matsuri.

People enjoy some hot food in coooooold weather.

(It was 7℃ when I visited.)

I get Ichigo-ame, a strawberry candy as usual.

By the way, we decorate entrance doors for the new year.

Sometimes cars as well.

My dad put the decoration inside the car this year. It is small and so cute:)
